Hi, I’m Laura!

Educator | Author | Advocate

I’m a licensed educator, author of the book No More Mediocre: A Call to Reimagine Our Relationships and Demand More, and a creator with a background in teaching, facilitation, and cultural critique. My work lives at the intersection of care and culture, helping people make sense of the invisible dynamics that shape our relationships, homes, and communities.

I’ve spent years breaking down everyday experiences like the imbalance of domestic labor and the mental load and giving them language that resonates. I helped bring terms like 'weaponized incompetence' and the 'nag paradox' into mainstream conversation, connecting personal frustration to broader systems and narratives. Through content, workshops, and writing, I support people in identifying these patterns and building more equitable relationships.

My work has been featured in outlets like Business Insider, Wondermind, Scary Mommy, and HuffPost. I’m a co-host of the Time to Lean podcast, where we explore care, culture, and systemic inequity with humor and curiosity. I also collaborate with organizations such as the Fair Play Policy Institute, Camping World, and Persist to create accessible curricula and learning experiences.

I’m a mother of two, a gardener, an audiobook enthusiast, and a neighbor who believes care is a collective responsibility and a powerful force for change.
